Post Conference Workshops
In this one-day boot camp, participants will learn how to use the tools and Android SDK to write applications for their Android devices. This feature-packed boot camp will show you how to get started in Android development, right from the start to deployment. Participants are strongly encouraged to bring along their notebook computers and follow along with the lab exercises.
Note: Space is limited register early.
This session is a day-long overview of development on the SharePoint 2010 platform. It is designed for those new to SharePoint, but will prove interesting to seasoned SharePoint developers looking to find out about the new features in 2010. We will begin with a look at foundational topics like Feature and Solutions Packages and then see how we can use the developer tooling in Visual Studio 2010 to quickly and effectively build customizations contained in these artifacts. Over the course of the day we will explore the SharePoint developer APIs, how to build custom web parts, working with SharePoint lists and libraries, and options to access data stored in SharePoint.
The success of agile practices is now widely recognized. Unfortunately, agile framework such as Scrum requires discarding all the existing processes and starting from scratch which is usually too risky for large organizations. Experience shows that a change too radical and too fast does not respect the learning curve of the teams. There must be a better way. Instead of implementing a canned, one-sized fits all framework that forces a radical change, by extending it with key elements that represents the best of agile, organizations can easily start a continuous improvement process and take advantage of Scrum much faster than they could have imagined.

Includes three days of training , Keynote, continental breakfasts, lunches, evening activities as well as the selected Post-Con on Friday June 1st, 2011.

This training has been conceived to give you a head start in adopting agile practices with Microsoft Team Foundation Server. Team Foundation Server (commonly abbreviated to TFS) is the server side back end platform for Visual Studio. It is intended for collaborative software development and it provides source control, automated build engine, work item tracking and monitoring reports.
Throughout the day, we will examine how to customize your Team Foundation Server to effectively adopt an agile framework that lead to continuous improvement. Learn how to efficiently mix Scrum, visual management and Kanban to create an agile process tailor made for your organizations.
Do not miss this training. Come learn how to improve your existing process and walk away with practical ideas that will enable you to drive those changes in your organization. We will explore well-known practices such as lean, kanban, visual management, and of course, the agile principles. Armed with tools and skills acquired, you can expect to see significant, measurable improvements in your development process in as little as 3-6 months.
